Ptosis Correction Surgery (Levator Aponeurosis Advancement)
This surgical procedure is performed to restore adequate eyelid elevation in cases where the levator muscle function is diminished.
It effectively enhances the vertical palpebral fissure height.
The approach involves a skin incision along the natural upper eyelid crease (supratarsal fold), followed by advancement and fixation of the levator aponeurosis to the tarsal plate to improve eyelid lift.
